Trust Administration:

Trust administration refers to the Trustees management of the trust assets. The Trustee owes fiduciary duties to the beneficiaries of the trust and must make every effort to ensure that trust assets are protected. Upon the death of the Trustor, the Successor Trustee must administer the trust according to the trust documents and must follow Arizona law in the administration of the trust. AWD attorneys can assist you throughout the trust administration process.

Probate:

Probate is a legal process that takes place after someone dies. This process includes, among other things, proving the validity of a Will, appointing someone to manage the decedent’s affairs, paying debts and taxes, and distributing the decedent’s property to the decedent’s heirs/beneficiaries. AWD attorneys can assist you throughout the probate process.

Small Estate Administration:

In Arizona, probate may not be necessary if the decedent’s estate is a “small estate” as defined by Arizona statutes. Through the use of affidavits one can transfer a decedent’s property without going through the entire probate process. AWD attorneys can assist you in using small estate affidavits, if the decedent’s estate qualifies.
