Andrew B. Haynes, an NAU grad, returned to Flagstaff to join AWD LAW after spending three years learning law in the nation’s capital. His practice areas include Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, and Business Law. Andrew joined AWD LAW in September 2021. Prior to joining AWD LAW, Andrew attended The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Mock Trial Board and The George Washington International Law Review. While in law school, Andrew worked in the Small Business and Community Economic Development Clinic, earning the highest grade in the clinic and gaining experience counseling businesses on a variety of matters relating to entity formation, tax, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. He also worked in the Prisoner & Reentry Clinic, where he represented a client in a federal compassionate release case and helped returning citizens reintegrate into society after their release. During his time at NAU, Andrew earned the Hooper Undergraduate Research Award for his research in psychology, which he presented at conferences across the country and published in articles in scholarly journals. In law school, his performance in Business Bankruptcy & Reorganization earned him The American Bankruptcy Law Journal Prize, in recognition of earning the highest grade in the course. Andrew graduated as a George Washington Scholar, a designation for those in the top 1-15% of the class.
